Sapporo Autumn Fest 2025: A celebration of the bounty of the northern land
Hokuryu Town will be opening a stall at the final and fourth periods of Sapporo Autumn Fest 2025 (October 2nd to 4th)!
Sapporo Autumn Fest is a food festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido that has been held since 2008. Approximately 300 stores line up in seven areas along a stretch of about 1 km in Odori Park in the center of Sapporo.
Among these, the 8th chome area is home to the Sapporo Odori Hokkaido Market. Based on the concept of "a showcase of the flavors and charms of Hokkaido," it is a veritable treasure chest of food, with around 70 municipalities and organizations from all over the prefecture bringing together their signature flavors.
In addition to rotating exhibitors in four periods, there will also be an area where exhibitors will be present throughout the entire event (23 days).

Hokuryu Town will be appearing in the fourth and final period (October 2nd to 4th). Hokuryu Town Hall, JA Kitasorachi Hokuryu Branch, and Kurosengoku Business Cooperative will be joining forces to share the bounty of the town.

At the end of the line was a heart of trust and warmth
On Thursday, October 2nd, a long line of customers had already formed in front of the Hokuryu Town booth before the event started at 10:00 AM. They were hoping to get a chance to try their hand at the generous rice scooping event.
It wasn't just a simple procession. It was a heartwarming sight, a reflection of the expectations for delicious Hokuryu rice and the trust placed in the producers. Everyone's smiles lit up as they felt the weight of the newly harvested rice. Grain after grain, kindness was being handed over.
"It's delicious!" A caring voice echoes
At the booth, students from Rakuno Gakuen University handed out mini rice balls with bright smiles, promoting the product wholeheartedly, saying, "Have some new rice from Hokuryu Town? It's delicious!" Their genuine appeal made people stop in their tracks, leading to warm exchanges.
Mayor Sasaki and Deputy Mayor Okuda visit to offer encouragement
Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki and Deputy Mayor Masaaki Okuda also rushed to offer words of encouragement.
The mayor himself kindly spoke to the young couple who had scooped up the rice, saying, "This is really delicious rice."
It was a beautiful moment when the town leaders, townspeople, and customers all came together.
Hokkaido Market: A gathering of local pride
The venue was lined with booths from various parts of Hokkaido, including Hidaka Town, Yoichi Town, Memuro Town, and Takikawa City. Delicious foods from each region were gathered together, warming the hearts and stomachs of visitors.
With boundless love, gratitude, and prayers, we wish Sapporo Autumn Fest 2024, a great food festival where you can experience the autumn season in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and be filled with the delicious food that the region is proud of.
