Sunflower Village in Hokuryu Town

1.5 million sunflowers bloom on a 23.1 ha hill. The best time to see them is in early August.

Senbodai (Thousand Watchtower)

Sunflower Restaurant

The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes such as ramen, rice bowls, set meals, etc. The daily lunch menu includes coffee and handmade soba noodles made from buckwheat flour produced in Hokuryu Town, which is limited to 20 servings per day. Nogami Confectionery Store

It was renovated and reopened in 2013 with a simple, modern look. The "Jizake Cake Kinpik" is a cake made with sake and sake lees from Kinpik, a locally brewed sake from the neighboring town of Shintotsukawa, and is a famous Takikawa confectionary that won the All Japan Confectionary Expo Honor Award at the 2002 National Confectionary Exposition.
