The Hokuryu Kurosengoku Soybean Fair is being held for one month in March as part of the Hotel Polestar Sapporo Hokkaido 179 Municipalities Product Fair at Dining & Bar 179, a restaurant in the Hotel Polestar Sapporo located across from the Hokkaido Prefectural Government Main Building (Sapporo).

Hokuryu Town Kurosengoku Soybean Fair: Kurosengoku Soybean Dishes
- Kurosengoku soybean dishes prepared by the hotel's top chefs are available at breakfast, dinner, and the lunch buffet on weekends and holidays!
- Breakfast includes oden made with Kurosengoku soybeans (hiryuzu) and seasonal vegetables, while the lunch buffet includes keema curry made with Kurosengoku soybeans and a honey-marinated salad made with Hokkaido pumpkin and Kurosengoku soybeans. Dinner includes piping hot deep-fried Kurosengoku soybeans (hiryuzu), Kurosengoku soybean chips, and Kurosengoku soybean ice cream.

Kurosengoku soybean oden with seasonal vegetables
Hiryuzu is a type of ganmodoki, made by mixing crumbled tofu with ingredients such as yam and eggs, and then adding vegetable ingredients and deep frying it.
Kurosengoku Soybean Flying Dragon Head is packed with softly boiled Kurosengoku soybeans, Kurosengoku soybean meat, Kurosengoku soybean meat (sliced), and plenty of vegetables such as carrots, hijiki seaweed, corn, and shiitake mushrooms!
It is simmered with Kurosengoku soybeans, Hiryuzu heads, radish and other vegetables, and the oden broth is thoroughly absorbed into it, making it a very flavorful dish.

Kurosengoku soybean keema curry
- Keema curry made with Kurosengoku soy meat instead of ground meat. A delicious keema curry with the gentle spiciness of curry spices and the subtle sweetness of Kurosengoku soybeans!
- The rice used in the saffron rice (turmeric) is a mixture of Nanatsuboshi rice from Hokuryu Town, germinated brown rice "Nanatsuboshi," and glutinous rice "Kaze no Ko." It also contains boiled Kurosengoku soybeans.
Honey-marinated Hokkaido pumpkin and Kurosengoku soybean salad
- This honey-marinated salad of Hokkaido pumpkin and Kurosengoku soybeans is the perfect combination of soft pumpkin, the flavor of Kurosengoku soybeans, and the gentle sweetness of honey!
Dinner a la carte
Kurosengoku soybean oden with seasonal vegetables
- Hiryutou is packed with Kurosenkoku soybeans, Kurosenkoku soybean meat, and other vegetables!
Deep-fried piping hot Kurosengoku soybeans
- Ganmodoki is a dish made by mixing crumbled tofu with boiled black soybeans, corn, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, green beans, etc.
Kurosengoku soybean chips
- Crispy chips made from slices of Kurosengoku soy meat fried until crisp and coated with curry powder. Served with chili sauce.
Kurosengoku soy ice cream with brown sugar flavor
- The ice cream is smothered in a rich, brown sugar-flavored Kurosengoku sauce. Served with shiratama dumplings filled with Kurosengoku kinako (roasted soybean flour). Topped with Kurosengoku chips dusted with Kurosengoku kinako and raspberries!!!
- A luxurious ice cream with a diverse mix of flavors and textures, featuring a unique cast of characters.

The restaurant "Dining & Bar 179" offers a wide variety of original dishes made with local ingredients from all over Hokkaido. At the entrance to the restaurant, pamphlets, videos introducing the towns, posters, and more are on display during the "Hokkaido 179 Municipal Products Fair."
