Best time to see and full bloom （Flowering status >>）	❂ Best time to see the flowers is early August ❂ When the flowers are in full bloom in early August, exclamations of "Amazing!" echo throughout the village. ❂ The number of days it takes for sunflowers to flower in Hokuryu Town (from sowing to flowering) varies depending on the average temperature, but it is said to be about 75 days. ❂ The weather and soil conditions vary from year to year, so the blooming conditions of sunflowers also change. ❂ Every year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in some areas from the last week of July until around the Obon festival in August.
Features of Himawari no Sato	❂ Two million sunflowers bloom on an east-facing slope, facing east. The sunflowers bloom facing the tourists. ❂ This sunflower field is introduced as one of Japan's most beautiful sights, where you can enjoy sunflowers in full bloom somewhere in the village for over 30 days. ❂ The town of Hokuryu, with a population of about 1,750, is lovingly cultivated by all its residents: the town flower, the sunflower. The bright, lively, and dignified sunflowers are filled with energy for tomorrow. ❂ On sunny mornings, the sun shines on the sunflowers facing east, making their yellow color stand out even more.
