We would like to introduce the Hokuryu Town Sunflower Village, which is featured in the August calendar of the 2025 calendar "Romantic Flowers 2025" (A3 modified size) published by Impress Corporation (Tokyo). Images from the Hokuryu Town Portal were used.
The project is supervised by Sera Fuwa, who developed flower psychology therapy as an art therapy using cut flowers.
The largest sunflower field in Japan is Himawari no Sato in Hokuryu Town, Hokkaido. The townspeople grow the sunflowers with love. Sunflowers, which take root in the vast earth, are flowers that give us energy and power. They foster curiosity, playfulness, and a sense of adventure, so they are recommended for children. Himawari no Sato is also the perfect environment for adults who want to recharge their energy. This summer, let's receive vitality from the sun and the earth.
