Smiles of all ages gather! Everyone's Square "Omusubi" Enichi event held
On Saturday, August 30th, 2025, "Ennichi" (Everyone's Square "Omusubi"), sponsored by the Hokuryu Town Social Welfare Council, was held at the Hokuryu Town Senior Citizens Welfare Center. This fun event, which marked the end of summer, brought together everyone from the town, across generations, from grandparents, parents, and children!
Approximately 90 people participated over the course of about an hour and a half, getting excited about this traditional game, and the venue was filled with excited, smiling faces and a happy time.

A smiling receptionist and a wonderful gift
Upon entering the venue, staff members will greet you with a smile. Drinks and souvenirs will be available for participants, and there will also be gifts such as key chains, clear files, and balloons! Anticipation will be building even before the event begins.
Challenge yourself to a nostalgic game!
Led by the general host, Megumi Murai, Support System Section Chief of the Hokuryu Town Social Welfare Council, participants took on the challenge of six games! Everyone was beaming with smiles as they won many of the prizes they had hoped for.

The excitement in the venue reached its peak with the addition of "Senbonhiki" (pulling thousands of horses).
Everyone was smiling with joy after winning lots of fun prizes!!!

1. Super Ball Scooping
Everyone was intent on trying to catch the colorful super balls. They were concentrating on trying to follow the rule that each person could scoop up to five balls.
2. Katanuki
"Katanuki" requires delicate techniques. The mold is gently and carefully removed so that it doesn't break. Did you do it well?
3. Lottery
It's a surprise to see what you'll win! The thrill of the moment the ball comes out is irresistible.
4. Shooting
The shooting gallery was a big hit with the kids. They held their pistols and aimed at the target, just like snipers. I wonder if they managed to hit the prize they were after?
5. Ring Toss
You throw the ring at the sweet you want. The fun part about ring toss is that it looks easy but is actually surprisingly difficult. You'll be overjoyed when you successfully catch the sweet!
6. Senbonbiki
When you picked one string from the many available and pulled it, a spectacular fireworks display was born! The wonderful prizes that brightened up the summer night drew cheers from the audience.
Delicious bread for sale
A variety of drinks were served at the venue, and bread was on sale by "RICH Koubou" just before lunch. The rows of delicious breads filled both the stomachs and the hearts of the attendees.
