"Good morning everyone.
This year, there were concerns about the cooler temperatures since spring, but the weather has been hot every day. Rice farming was difficult amid the unprecedented heat, and various disasters occurred. Nevertheless, we were able to welcome a bountiful autumn harvest without any major problems.
And on Culture Day, the 46th Town Cultural Festival will be held.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many events were delayed and disrupted, but this year, in its fourth year, we were finally able to hold the cultural festival in its original form after holding various meetings with the Board of Education.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended today.
Over 300 townspeople from 30 groups are participating in today's cultural festival. The cultural festival is a place for interaction throughout the day, and you can see many different faces. Usually, you only see one side of people, but there will also be art exhibitions and performances.
If time permits, please explore the museum thoroughly until 3:00 PM, spend a pleasant day, and recharge your energy for tomorrow. I would like to return my greetings by wishing you all good health.

"Everyone, the town cultural festival held yesterday and today is almost over. How did you enjoy this year's cultural festival?
We haven't been able to do anything for two years, and last year we only held the morning session without a bazaar. This year, as the chairman mentioned in his opening address, the bazaar has been revived, just like before, and we are now able to hold the event until the afternoon.
It was a long event and I'm sure everyone was tired, but I hope you all enjoyed it.
I think the children put in a lot of effort to direct the works, and we also had a lot of different groups submit their works.
Thank you very much. I would also like to thank the women's division of the Chamber of Commerce for their help with the bazaar, and the various organizations for their cooperation. I think everyone's stomachs are full.
I think this will be an opportunity for next year to be more like a normal year.
I'm sure a lot has happened each year. I think the most important thing is to make the most of each moment. With the population declining, I think some people are worried about what will happen to the town as a whole.
However, I strongly hope that each of you will have one thing in mind, develop a passion for culture, find meaning in various aspects of life, and then show off the results of your efforts at the school festival one year from now.

With boundless love, gratitude, and prayers, we hope to see the wonderful Hokuryu Town Citizens' Cultural Festival 2023, where we can share in the excitement and joy of the townspeople's performances and works, showing off the great results they have accumulated over the past year and brimming with energy and vitality.
