In Hokuryu Town, this year's new rice season has finally arrived!
Freshly harvested, freshly made, fluffy, shiny, and exquisite new rice!

Accompanied by the season's salted grilled saury, we were truly grateful for the best new rice of the year.
Freshly cooked new rice cooked in an earthenware pot that shines in the silvery white color of silver rice!

Plump and glossy, with exceptional sweetness and aroma!

Main dish is saury, served with miso soup and side dishes (boiled green beans with salted kelp, carrot rapé, lotus root with Shibazuke pickles, simmered kidney beans, pickled takana, and grated radish).

We are thankful to be able to taste the best tasting new rice.

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 09:00 to 12:00 (noon), the 2024 Hokuryu Sunflower Rice New Rice Appreciation Festival will be held at the Hokuryu Town Agricultural and Livestock Products Direct Sales Store, Minoricchi Hokuryu. Please come and taste the freshly harvested, fluffy, shiny new rice!
