The Tanpopo Club is a project to support those who are able to work on their own so that they can live at home in good health, and is implemented by the town under contract with the Hokuryu-cho Council of Social Welfare.

Greetings from Masako Nakajima, instructor
Thank you all for coming out in this hot weather. This heat has caused many cases of heat stroke. Please take care to stay hydrated at home. In terms of corona countermeasures, let's work on increasing self-immunity by disinfecting, wearing masks, and taking nutritious food to improve our physical strength.
Well, we have some new programs entered today, so enjoy them! Let's begin!" He greeted cheerfully!

Talk by Mirai Ohira, Public Health Nurse, Resident Division, Hokuryu Town Hall
I will talk about preventing the spread of new coronary infections.
There are two routes of transmission of coronavirus: droplet transmission by sneezing or coughing, and contact transmission. Please note that the virus can be transmitted not only by bringing your hand to your mouth, but also by rubbing your nose or eye with your hand.
Influenza, like coronavirus, is also contagious. Please continue to wash your hands and gargle to prevent not only corona but also influenza. It is important to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before eating.
In addition, it is said that it takes 30 seconds to wash hands. Since the song "Donguri Korokoro" (Acorns Rolling) takes about 30 seconds, it is a good rule of thumb to do it while singing the song.
Also, when disinfecting with alcohol, be sure to use a large amount of alcohol disinfectant solution in the palm of your hand, as a small amount will not work.
Above all, to prevent infection, avoid the 3 densely packed "close, close, close" areas. Keep your distance from people, wear a mask, wash your hands, disinfect, and avoid crowds as much as possible.
This is about hydration. It is said that it takes about 20 minutes for water to enter the body and be absorbed. Therefore, please hydrate not only during and after exercise, but also 20 minutes before exercise. This will help prevent dehydration by allowing the body to absorb water during exercise.
In Hokuryu Town, there has not been a single case of new coronavirus infection yet, so we will continue to do our best to bring the situation to an end without any more cases of infection. I would like to ask for everyone's cooperation," said Ohira, a public health nurse.
7. darts game

8. brain training (using printouts)

I'm sure you all have a good head start!

Everyone is serious and having fun!

Story by Masako Nakajima

The Tanpopo Club is a project commissioned by the Town of Hokuryu to the Hokuryu Council of Social Welfare.
Each time, we record the program content and the number of participants, and connect them to the public health nurse at the town hall when they have problems in their daily lives. We make sure to address and solve problems and issues in daily life.
In addition, once a month, a meeting is held between the Hokuryu Town Hall Resident Division staff, myself as a CSW contracted employee, and Sumiko Suzuki.
The edge of life (haza kaikki) comes at the ages of 60, 65, and 70, when we are no longer able to do the things we used to be able to do. I feel it is important to be aware of what we can do now, and to face ourselves with a firm grasp of what we can do.
I am always grateful for this project because I enjoy doing it myself. Exercising my body, exercising my mind by playing quizzes in a fun way, and chatting with others are all ways to prevent dementia.
I think the best thing is for everyone to be able to enjoy their retirement in Hokuryu Town," said Mr. Nakajima cheerfully and energetically.
For lunch, each of us purchased a box lunch at COCOWA and enjoyed lunch together. In the afternoon, volunteers gather to play a crazy game of diamonds!
Dandelion Club" activity to be held at COCOWA multipurpose space!

We hope you will join us for the best relaxation time, exercising your body with gymnastics, exercising your mind with quizzes, chatting with friends, and having a good time, with endless love, gratitude and prayers.
