The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital online newspaper published an article (dated April 6th) titled "Pinpoint weather forecasts with the smartphone app 'Digital AMeDAS' now available in Hokkaido, a first in the nation, with pinpoint weather information expected to be used in primary industries." The Hokkaido Broadcasting UHB also published a video (dated April 6th) announcing the launch of the smartphone app 'Digital AMeDAS' in Hokkaido, ahead of the rest of the country.

Hokuryu Town Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki also attended the "Digital AMeDAS App Completion Ceremony."
