Pray for good health with the "ehomaki" rolls at Restaurant Mukohiwa!

February 4 (Sunday) is Risshun, the beginning of spring and the first day of the year in the 24 solar terms!

On Setsubun, the day before the first day of spring, we had "ehomaki" at Restaurant Mukohiwa. The direction in which the god of good fortune for the year, "Sotokujin", resides is called "eho-ho". This year, the direction of blessing is "east-northeast.

On Setsubun, people throw beans to ward off evil spirits, and then silently gobble up "ehomaki" rolls while facing east-northeast, the direction of blessings!

We pray for good health and good fortune by eating makizushi, sushi rolls that roll in good fortune.

This year, Restaurant Mukohi's "ehomaki" are "meat rolls", "seafood rolls", and three types of thin rolls. Thanks for delivering them!

Gorgeous ingredients

• Meat rolls:simmered sweet and spicy beef, red ginger, potherb mustard
• Seafood rolls:Seven kinds of tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab, scallop, squid, and tobiko, named after the seven gods of good fortune
• Thin rolls:natto, omelet, pickles

As we welcome the new year, Risshun, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy the finest ehomaki rolls with the hope that they will ward off the evil spirits of the plague and invite good fortune and good health.
