The projection mapping images were created by 10 students of the Department of Media Studies under the guidance of Associate Professor Keitaro Oshima and Associate Professor Dai Kawahara of the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Hokkaido University of Information Sciences (Ebetsu City).
In addition to a 10-minute video per class on the wall of the Sunflower Park Hotel building, this year a 3-minute video per class will be repeatedly projected on the Beiryumon gate.
The content of the video is in line with the architectural structure of the Sunflower Park Hokuryu Onsen, such as the window frames on the exterior walls, and the video is full of realistic images that express the character of Hokuryu Town, such as "sunflowers," "dragons," and a drone view of the Sunflower Village.

This year again, students worked on projection mapping.
The highlight of this year's event is the projection mapping that will be projected onto the Hokuryu Gate for the first time. For those arriving by car, the projection mapping is designed to allow visitors to pass under the projection mapping to gain entry.
Then, we designed the images to develop interestingly in a form that perfectly matches the architectural structure of the exterior walls of the Sunflower Park Hotel, for example, the window frames and the boundaries between the walls and window frames.
It is developing in a completely different way than before. We hope you enjoy it, and we look forward to working with you," said Dr. Oshima.

The video was made so that people would be interested in the gates of Hokuryu-cho. After that, we made a video in which 'sunflowers' and the abstracted word 'Hokuryu-cho' appear in relation to Hokuryu-cho. We tried to create a video that would attract people's interest as a gateway to the town.
The production time was about one month, including testing. We received various opinions from everyone during the production process.
From now on, I would like to try to produce a slightly different type of video every year, and at the same time as I grow, I would like to make videos that visitors can enjoy as well. I will continue to do my best in the future," said one of the students, full of energy.
