The "Kurosengoku Summer Festival" was held on the Kurosengoku Business Cooperative Association grounds (Hekisui, Hokuryu Town) from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3rd. The event was organized by Executive Director Yuji Takada.
Kurosengoku Summer Festival 2024
The first-ever summer festival, organized by the Kurosengoku Business Cooperative Association (Chairman Takada Yukio), was a huge success, with many people attending!
The summer festival is packed with activities for both children and adults!
Various seasonal vegetables for sale
- "Kurosengokudon's scooping," "All-you-can-pack cucumbers," "All-you-can-pack cherry tomatoes," and various seasonal vegetables for sale
Children's Festival
- "Dagashi" sales, "Yo-yo scooping in the Whale Pool," and "Sumikko Gurashi lottery"
Umeya-san
- Umeya "Kurosengoku Kinako Soft Serve Ice Cream," "Kurosengoku Cream Puffs," and "Baked Goods (Anko Butter Madeleine, Butter Castella, Dutch Bread)"
- The Kurosengoku Kinako Soft Serve Ice Cream is filled with Kurosengoku Kinako both at the bottom and on top, making it as smooth as jarato and incredibly delicious!
Masao Togashi Shoten - Yabuyabu Bushi
- Togashi Masao Shoten (Sapporo City, founded in 1948, currently run by the third generation owner, Togashi Yuhei)
- Yabuyabubushi is a three-kind shavings blended in the golden ratio: "Salmon flakes from Shibetsu, Hokkaido," "Katsuobushi from Ibusuki, Kagoshima," and "Tuna flakes from Ibusuki, Kagoshima"!!!
- By combining the umami component inosinic acid found in bonito and tuna with the glutamic acid found in salmon, the umami is increased tenfold!
- An all-natural food with no additives and full of natural flavor!
- Togashi Masao Shoten's shaved dried fish "Yabu Yabu Bushi" won the Osaka Governor's Award at the 67th National Seafood Processed Food Exhibition!
Teppanyaki Chef Koki's Live Kitchen
- Chef Koki cooks the teppanyaki dishes "Spicy Chicken" and "Yakisoba" right in front of you, and they are absolutely delicious!
- The vegetable-packed fried noodles are topped with a huge zucchini, freshly grown by Director Takada himself!!! The best!
- An exquisite fried soba dish made with the seasoning of Yabu Yabu Fushi!!!
Sauna Car: "There's a sauna!"
- Free trial of the sauna car "Sauna Arujan"!
- A sauna made by a carpenter using light-weight Japanese cedar: Produced by Hokutomo Construction Co., Ltd. (Sapporo)
- We use sauna stoves from Shinbo Seisakusho, a company that has been making wood stoves in Otaru for over 60 years.
- The sauna stones are made of a heat-resistant, durable mix of olivine and diabase, and feature the "Onimaru" design made by Kikuma Kawara. With an absorption rate of over 10%, they prevent dryness, relieve stuffiness, and help preserve the aroma of the aroma for longer.
- After self-loyly, the stove fan stirs the heat wave in the sauna room.
I want to build a sauna car. I want to build a sauna hut. I want to enjoy saunas. A sauna car for a light truck can be made by a craftsman. We can also rent it for use at home.

A miraculous encounter
In 2010 (Heisei 22), 14 years ago, when we (the administrators) moved from Kanto to Hokuryu Town, we received a touching letter from a girl who was a junior high school student at the time and the chairperson of the Hokuryu Junior High School Sunflower Committee.She loved sunflowers and Hokuryu Town.
I receive a kind letter
It was accompanied by kind words and a portrait of us smiling.
The kind words written in the letter
"Your smiles are as bright as sunflowers. If you keep smiling at all times, good things will surely happen. I believe so. I love sunflowers and Hokuryu Town," she said, conveying the warm sincerity of a girl as lovely and pure as sunflowers.
A miraculous encounter in the 14th year
On the day itself, I had a miraculous encounter with the girl at this very venue!
The mother who was with us suddenly called out to us, "Do you remember the name Okazaki Aoi?"
When I replied, "Wow! Aoi-chan," there was a really lovely woman in front of me!
My heart is filled with nostalgia and emotion!
