The words "Sunflowers blooming beautifully and powerfully toward the midsummer sun" painted in black letters on the yellow signboard are the words of Akira Tanimoto, a resident of Hokuryu Town.

Ryoji Kikura, a resident of Itaya Public Housing, commissioned a sign store in Fukagawa City to install the sign.

Ryoji Kikura carefully nurtured it to full bloom.

These precious sunflowers were carefully and meticulously nurtured by Ryoji Kikura with his "prayer for peace" and deep affection.

Residents of the public housing complex say, "The lovely sunflowers that I can see from my balcony cheer me up and heal me every day.
