June 25th (Wednesday) Year 3 "Cherry Blossom Seeding" ~ With the help of local residents, third graders sowed cherry blossom seeds. They took seeds from cherry trees and planted them in the soil. The flowers will bloom in about 10 years. [Shinryu Elementary School]

Congratulations to Mr. Moriaki Tanaka on receiving the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays!
On Friday, June 20, 2025, a celebration was held for former Hokuryu Town Council Chairman Moriaki Tanaka (88 years old) to receive the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays. He was recognized for his many years of contributions to local government, youth group activities, and efforts to promote the community. He received congratulatory gifts from the representatives of the organizers and the mayor.
