Looking up, you can see the blue winter sky that draws you in. Reflecting the clear blue sky, icicles shine quietly yet powerfully under the eaves.
The brilliance of the crystal is the fruition of a long-term interaction between the harsh cold of Hokuryu Town and the soft sunlight of spring.
A single drop of water, lured by the sunlight during the day, melts slowly and lovingly. The drop is once again embraced by the sub-zero air, and layers upon layers of ice form.
The overlapping joints are like rings of ice marking the passage of time.
It changes its appearance with every passing moment and never returns to the same shape, like an "ice sculpture" that nature has given only to this place.
In a world below freezing, there are moments when the warmth of the sun feels like the temperature of life itself...
The sight of the warm winter light gently watching over the icicles thaws the frozen heart and brings quiet peace.
With heartfelt respect for the fleeting art created by nature, and boundless love, gratitude, and prayers for the everyday miracle that allows us to share this brilliance!
