The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun Press (Sapporo), has published an article (dated June 24th) entitled "Stockpiled rice sales begin in northern and central Sorachi, with queues forming at major supermarkets: 'Finally, I can buy it cheaply.'" We would like to introduce this article to you.
The article states, "Mitsuo Sato (45), owner of the set meal restaurant Himawari in Hokuryu Town, said, 'As long as I'm running a restaurant, I want to use rice grown by reliable producers. I want to stick to 100% Hokuryu rice.'"
