Activity report from Mayor Sano Yutaka of Hokuryu Town. July 28th (Friday) ✦ Request for a liaison meeting of related organizations regarding the review of the direct payment subsidy for the utilization of Hokkaido rice paddies. Requests were made to the House of Councillors Building and members of the Diet elected from Hokkaido. Meetings were held with Senator Hasegawa Takeshi, Senator Suzuki Muneo, and House of Representatives member Takebe Arata, as well as with the Director-General of the Hiragata Production Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and with the Director-General of the Nagai Agricultural Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
