"Our Village is Beautiful" Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award In 1983, the village received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for "Our Village is Beautiful." ⑦ Yew Forest and Literary Forest This forest was created by the people of Hokuryu, driven by their desire to preserve nature.
