⑦ Yew Forest and Literary Forest This forest was created by the people of Hokuryu, driven by their desire to preserve nature. Along the walking trails, you can find a monument to a poem by Yoshiue Shoryo, who has ties to Hokuryu, and a statue of a man nicknamed "Dorokame" from the University of Tokyo Experimental Forest in Furano.
