The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun Press (Sapporo), has published an article (dated June 6th) titled "Hokuryu Town's first university graduates to join the volunteer corps: Arai and Takatsuki, both graduates of Hokkaido University of Information Science, 'promote the town's charm' through video production." The article states, "Arai Tsubasa (24) is from Chitose City, and Takatsuki Masayuki (22) is from Shinhidaka Town in the Hidaka region. They will be responsible for spreading information and promoting the town's attractions. The two, who have mainly studied video production at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies, are enthusiastic about 'spreading the charms of Hokuryu Town, which people don't realize if they continue to live here,' both inside and outside the town."
