On Monday, July 29th, singer-songwriter Yuya Hoshino (37 years old) visited Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki of Hokuryu Town.
Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki came to support Yuya Hoshino's live concert in Sapporo in June, bringing a bouquet of sunflowers with him. This visit to Hokuryu Town was made possible as a thank you for that day.
Hoshino Yuya and Mayor Sasaki have had a long-standing relationship since Mayor Sasaki was the chairman of the Hokuryu Town Council! This connection was only made possible by the two of them cherishing their precious connections with wonderful people.

Mayor Sasaki and Hoshino had a lively discussion about "livening up Hokuryu Town through song."
Rainy Sunflower Village
Unfortunately, it rained that day!
However, Hoshino said with a smile, "I also love sunflowers wet with rain! I really like the way sunflowers look when they're wet and shiny from the rain."
Then, as if to welcome Hoshino Yuya, the sunflower buds in the jumbo maze began to bloom all at once.

Hoshino took a look around the tourist center and took a commemorative photo with the store staff!

Afterwards, we grabbed our umbrellas and headed to Sunflower Village!
Hoshino was wearing a lovely sunflower-colored shirt, creating a perfect atmosphere, as if he was in sync with the yellow sunflowers!

In February 2018, Hoshino Yuya held a special live performance at the "Sunflower Oil Learning Seminar & Tasting Lunch" held at Hotel New Otani Inn Sapporo (Sapporo City).
On stage, they performed their original song "Sunflowers," which was created with the image of the sunflower's flower language, "I'm only looking at you," as a song dedicated to Hokuryu Town.
They also performed on stage at the "Sunflower Flower Festa Song Show" at the 32nd Hokuryu Town Sunflower Festival (August 2018).

- Born in Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture (family is a rice farmer), January 17, 1987 (37 years old)
- Active as a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo and Sapporo
- Influenced by his father, who was an amateur folk singer, he began playing the guitar at around the age of 18.
- While studying at Kitasato University's School of Marine Life Sciences, Graduate School of Fisheries Science, he began performing at live music venues.
- In 2018, she sang the ending theme for "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love."
