On Saturday, June 20, at 9:00 a.m., Minoricchi Hokuryu (manager: Mikio Hara), a direct sales shop of agricultural and livestock products in Hokuryu Town, held its grand opening this year!

Performance by Hokuryu Taiko
To commemorate the opening, the Hokuryu Taiko drummers performed two songs, "Bountiful Harvest Celebration Taiko" and "Senrai no En.
Composed by Kimihiko Matsumura, representative of the Matsumura Group of Japanese drummers.

The song "Senrai no En" was composed by Mr. Kimihiko Matsumura, the head of Matsumura-gumi, a taiko drumming group in Sorachi, Japan. Senrai-no En" means "sound of nature," "flute," or "echo.
Chihiro Itagaki, a taiko drummer, told us, "This piece was composed with the image of Sorachi, where the sounds of the various rivers in Sorachi overlap and resonate, where people are connected, and where people are friendly and lively.

The heartbeats of the drummers echoed throughout the hall, a fitting opening for the event.

This year, too, our shippers have joined forces and started sowing seeds before the snow fell, growing vegetables well in advance. Today is the grand opening of the Minoricchi Hokuryu direct sales market, and I hope everyone will enjoy it.

In the store, we have a variety of vegetables such as "Himawari Watermelon" and "Himawari Melon", which are Hokuryu Town's specialties, Himezake bamboo, melon, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, ice plant, radish, turnip, carrot, potato (Inca no mezame), onion, zucchini, cucumber, tomato, strawberry, and etc.! and many other vegetables picked in the morning!

The Bogor Pineapple, shipped directly from Okinawa, is an Okinawan pineapple that can be torn apart by hand and eaten down to the core!

Shoppers will receive a lovely flower seedling (basil, nasturtium (edible flower) aster,)!
