General Moderator: Mr. Satoshiro Yamazaki, Hokuryu Town Board of Education
The conference proceeded smoothly and without delay under the general chairmanship of Mr. Soshiro Yamazaki of the Hokuryu Town Board of Education.
Greetings from the President: Mr. Kazushi Arima, Superintendent of Education, Hokuryu Town Board of Education
I would like to express my sincere appreciation and thanks to all of you for taking time out of your busy schedules to participate in the 54th annual Women's Recreation Convention.
Last year, this convention could not be held due to the corona disaster. Even now, the number of infected people in Asahikawa and Sapporo is still around 10, and we are very happy to be able to hold this event this year for the first time in two years.
This year was also the year of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
In the fifth wave, the activities of the Japanese people were the only thing that kept my mind off the spread of the infection. We rejoice that the outbreak is thus coming to an end.
Today, we are expecting a big turnout at the Hokuryu Town Rural Environment Improvement Center and Gymnasium to melt the snow outside, not to be outdone by the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Although there are winners and losers in each event, I would like the competition to be fun and friendly, without being too focused on the winners and losers.
Even though the Corona disaster has reduced the number of people, we hope that through the masks, you will be able to make the convention more exciting, not with loud cheering, but with loud applause.
I would like to thank all the sports guidance committee members and women's organization committee members for their excessive cooperation on the occasion of this tournament and extend my greetings to them. I hope you enjoy today's event," said Mr. Arima, Director of Education.
Return of the championship cup
- Previous year's winner: blue team, runner-up: yellow team, third place: red team, fourth place: white team
Referee's Note: Sports Promotion Committee, Okino Manabu, Chairperson
Two competitions have been changed because of the "Corona Disaster.
The cardboard relay gets tougher the later it gets in the race. The last athlete will have a harder time, so we hope you will consider the combination of the order of the athletes as you work on this event.
Other competitions can be slow regardless of the number, so please take your time.
The fourth event, "Sekisho-yaburi" involves a running scene. Currently, elementary and junior high school students are allowed to remove their masks during physical education classes. If you feel uncomfortable during the exercise, you may remove it.
And we have prepared prizes for each competition participation, which we hope each team will receive," said Okino, chairperson of the committee.

Comment by Mr. Kazushi Arima, Superintendent of Education, Hokuryu Town Board of Education
The event was successfully completed in a friendly atmosphere. Congratulations to the red team who won the championship. To the yellow group, who finished runner-up by one point, and to the third- and fourth-place finishers, thank you for your hard work. We praise your glory from the bottom of our hearts. We would like to express our gratitude for the safe and successful completion of the event without any injuries.
With the snowfall that began on the 24th, it has become a winter scene outside. Winter is a difficult time to maintain and improve one's physical fitness.
As I mentioned two years ago, I hope that you will make effective use of the gymnasium at the Rural Environment Improvement Center and the gym facilities, including the running machines on the second floor, to maintain and improve your physical fitness this winter.
I would like to thank all the sports promoters for the day. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and give my critique of the tournament. Thank you all for your hard work," said Mr. Arima, Superintendent of Education.
Big lottery (for all)
Prizes will be awarded by drawing lots for raffle ticket numbers distributed at the registration desk. Since this year's tournament was cancelled last year, this year's prizes are more luxurious than last year's.
The shining nice ladies of Hokuryu Town burst with energy!
With endless love, gratitude and prayers for a wonderful women's recreational convention where we could enjoy sports games and share our joy with each other.
