The Hokuryu Town "Sunflower Tourism and Product Fair" 2020 was held for three days from Sunday, November 1st to Tuesday, November 3rd at the west plaza of the Kita 3-jo intersection in the Sapporo Ekimae-dori underground plaza.

The fair was held with the aim of promoting Hokuryu Town's specialty products and promoting tourism, and was led by the Hokuryu Town Office, with support from the JA Kitasorachi Hokuryu Branch, Hokuryu Promotion Corporation, Kurosengoku Business Cooperative, and the Hokuryu Town Construction Industry Association. It was an all-Hokuryu event.
Several staff members from each organization participated, and a total of about 20 people took turns enthusiastically selling products in person and working to promote Hokuryu Town.
New Hokkaido Style COVID-19 Countermeasures
At the event venue, Sapporo Chikaho, in order to prevent COVID-19, entry was by following the New Hokkaido style, with temperature checks, disinfection, and mask wearing required.
Hokuryu Town Specialties
Newly harvested rice from Hokuryu Town (JA Kitasorachi Hokuryu Branch)
We sell a 5-go (approx. 16 sq. m) scoop of new rice "Nanatsuboshi" from Hokuryu Town, as well as Kitakurin, Oborozuki, Yumepirika, glutinous rice "Kaze no Ko," and germinated brown rice "Nanatsuboshi."

Sansan Sunflower Oil, Roasted Sunflower Oil, Kurosengoku Sunflower Oil Dressing, Hokuryu Soba, Hokuryu Sunflower Balm, and Tanakara Mochi Okaki. Introducing our new bottles!

Kurosengoku Soybeans (Kurosengoku Business Cooperative Association)
We offer a wide variety of processed products, including raw Kurosengoku soybeans, Kurochan Don, bean rice sets, Kurosengoku crispy treats, Kurosengoku kinako, Kurosengoku dry packs, Kurosengoku flakes, Kurosengoku tea, and Kurosengoku germinated natto!

Scoop out a 5-go measure of new Nanatsuboshi rice
The 5-go (approx. 16 liters) scoop of newly-wed rice is a generous serving and is extremely popular all day! Customers come in nonstop!
"Scooping is so much fun, I want to try it twice!" said one customer, trying it a second time and enjoying it with his child.
When a visually impaired person accompanied by an attendant came to our store, we asked them to hold the bag of scooped rice, and they beamed with joy as they realized how heavy the rice was, exclaiming, "Wow, that's heavy!"

The Sansan Sunflower Oil bottle is now available in a new, luxurious style, featuring black with gold lettering!
Kurosengoku soybeans
Fans of Kurosengoku soybeans, as well as people interested in Kurosengoku, have been flocking to the store!!!
Our customers were very interested in learning about the healthy benefits of Kurosengoku soybeans!
There was a detailed explanation of how to boil Kurosenkoku soybeans, how to cook them, and the nutritional value of Kurosenkoku soybeans.

Hokuryu Town introduction video
A video introducing Hokuryu Town was projected onto the wall of the venue.
"Do you know Hokuryu Town?"
"I didn't know this was a town with such beautiful sunflowers."
"It's a rice town."
"I'd like to go to Hokuryu Town next year to see the sunflowers."
The staff explained about the town while looking at the screen. The customers listened intently and stared at the screen...

The Agri-Fighter North Dragons "Yellow, Blue, Brown" and Himawari Saki-chan were full of encouraging support!!! On the third day, everyone gathered together!

Sorachi Ishikari Fair @ Snow Brand Parlor Main Store
At the main store of Yukijirushi Parlor, located on the first floor of the Taiyo Life Sapporo Building in Kita 2-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, the Sorachi-Ishikari Fair will be held (November 1st to December 31st), where they will offer a "Hokkaido Support Parfait" using ingredients from both the Sorachi General Bureau and the Ishikari Regional Bureau, as well as tourist information.

There are four types of Hokkaido support parfaits
・"Cherry, rice pudding, and melon parfait"
・"Sorachi Yumepirika Pancakes (with mitarashi-style rice syrup and Kurosengoku kinako)"
・"100-Year-Old Senryo Pear and Earl Grey (Parfait)"
・"100-Year-Old Red Delicious Apple and Chestnut (Parfait)"

Cherry, rice pudding, and melon parfait

The pancakes are made with Sorachi-produced rice flour "Yumepirika" and are garnished with plenty of Kurosengoku kinako (Hokuryu Town).

Snow Royal Vanilla Ice Cream & Matcha Ice Cream
The pancakes are served with Snow Royal vanilla ice cream, matcha ice cream, and red bean paste, and are topped with a mitarashi-style rice slop.

This Snow Royal Ice Cream was specially made for Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress, who attended the Hokkaido Centennial Ceremony (August 1968).
The Hokuryu Town Sunflower Tourism and Product Fair brought all of Hokuryu together in one spirit to promote the charms of Hokuryu Town to the fullest!

With boundless love, gratitude, and prayers for these three great days, during which the wonders of Hokuryu Town were conveyed to many more people...
