The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital, an Internet site operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun (Sapporo, Japan), has published an article (dated October 28) titled "Voter Turnout in Hokkaido's 10th House of Representatives Election: 59.90%, Second Lowest in History and Highest among Hokkaido's Election Districts.
The article states, "The highest voter turnout among all 32 municipalities in the 10 wards of Hokkaido was in Sorachi Pref. Hokuryu TownThe percentage was 79.31% (down 0.05 points from the previous report), followed by 76.13% (down 5.85 points) in Hatsuyamabetsu Village, Rumoi District," the report stated.
