I would like to thank you for your hard work in the Hokuryu firefighting exercise.
I would like to congratulate all of the firefighters for the excellent finish of the event, which fully demonstrated the results of their practice despite their busy schedule with their day jobs. In particular, the traditional high quality of discipline training and pump operation was still alive and well today.

This year also saw the addition of a new search drill, and we were able to feel once again the strong commitment to training of all the members of the group.

Thanks to their daily training and activities, the residents of the town are living with a sense of safety and security, and we hope that all members will continue to train hard.

I would like to thank all the distinguished guests who are here today for their attendance.
After the meeting, we have arranged a small reception. We hope that you will be able to get to know each other as well as time permits.

They protect the lives and property of the residents of Hokuryu Town through their daily activities in fire prevention, disaster prevention, and crime prevention. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to all the firefighters.

The weather had been bad, reminding us of the Ezo rainy season, but it was a complete change and we are happy to see that the 2024 fire drill ended with high morale on a beautiful day for the exercise.

And this year, you showed us a modern piece of equipment: a drone. As you mentioned, we expect it to work wonderfully.

The international situation has not changed in terms of weather anomalies. Here and there, there are floods, droughts, and very strong winds.

It is still June in Hokkaido, and July, August, September, and October are just around the corner. You never know what form natural disasters will take.

I hope that all the members of the group will devote themselves to the task and do their best to educate themselves against disasters.

Even with modern equipment, the foundation of firefighting is people. I am very encouraged and grateful that there are so many young people today who are willing to protect the town of Hokuryu.

I would like to make a toast to this exercise in the hope that Hokuryu Town will be fire and disaster free and that everyone present will be in good health.
