April 1, 2024, the beginning of the new fiscal year 2024.
Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki made an inspection tour of Hokuryu Town.
Mayor Sasaki spent an hour and a half inspecting the town, including the precious Etai-betsu Dam, where melted snow moistens the town's fields; the majestic Etai-dake, seen from a vantage point beyond the Mitani district near the town border with Masuge Town; fields sprayed with snow-melting chemicals; and interaction with farmers working to set up seedling houses.

Spring is the season when farmers steadily begin their work in the buds of nature, where life dwells.
The new year will start with an exchange between the town's residents and Mayor Sasaki while experiencing the great natural beauty of Hokuryu Town!
From now on, Mayor Sasaki is scheduled to visit the town about once a month. We look forward to Mayor Sasaki's next visit!
