Continued # Birch bark collection The other day, I participated in a birch bark craft workshop in Obihiro. The instructor @koubouameiro and his assistant @kimoko_toppy came to see the birches in our mountain. I can only thank them for giving us the knowledge they have gained from their long experience with birches, from how to collect the bark without wasting it to the know-how of storing and processing it. I was strongly impressed by his attitude of trying to move forward with the times while valuing his vision more than his own gain or loss. After returning home, the two of us immediately started pre-treating the bark we collected today.
