This is the harvesting of "Emimaru" dry-field direct-han rice that Koki Takada, a Hokuryu-machi resident, is working on.
It is now time to harvest the rice, which has plumped up and grown into a tight crop all over the rice fields of the four towns.
The ears of rice, leaning heavily on their heads and swaying in the strong autumn wind, have grown and produced a magnificent crop of "Emimaru" rice.

Comments by Koki Takada
I think it went well for a first year. I followed your instructions and was able to cultivate the plants for now. I think the yield was fair.
A particular challenge was weed control. It was difficult to find the right timing for herbicide spraying (three to four times). Next year, we will try our best to reduce weeds by devising the timing of herbicide spraying," said Koki Takada.
The yield after harvest was 8.2 bales/10a.
We express our infinite love, gratitude, and prayers to Emimaru, who grows vigorously in harmony with weeds in the midst of nature, where the great sunlight, pure water, and fertile soil watch over him.
