Now in its eighth year, the illumination in the garden of Setsuya Suzuki's (70 years old) home has been further upgraded and is now shining in all its gorgeous splendor.
The theme for this year 2022 is "Peace". In this chaotic world of war and recession, this illumination is a prayer for peace to return to the world as soon as possible!
Every year, we begin preparations around May and carefully set up one by one. The morning glories, whose vines can grow up to 6 meters, are watered every day, and while tending to the garden, we continue to carefully care for them until the end of September.
The power source is eco-friendly, using solar power generation. Automatically lights up and blinks when it gets dark.
Setsuya Suzuki inspects and observes the illumination of his garden every night while enjoying his coffee after dinner, with various thoughts in mind.
The illumination at night is so gorgeous and beautiful that passersby turn back to visit. A grandmother who will be 90 years old next year, who visited the other day, was so impressed that she said, "This is a souvenir of my maid!" she said, repeatedly impressed!
For Setsuya, talking with visitors is one of his favorite pastimes!
This is our eighth year, and every year the number of set decorations increases. It is a lot of work from preparation to cleanup, but this year we had three or four people helping us and they were very helpful. The hard work brings us more joy, and as long as I am healthy, I want to enjoy it to the fullest!" said Setsuya Suzuki with a gentle smile.
The glittering lights of Setsuya Luminarie 2022, a dream spot like a theme park of lights where you will be enchanted and soothed by the glittering lights, will be held with endless love, gratitude, and prayers.
