We are pleased to announce the results of the survey.
1. The most popular sunflower field to visit in the summer of 2022 is "Hokuryu-cho Himawari no Sato" (Hokuryu Town, Hokkaido).
Hokuryu-cho Sunflower Village (Hokuryu Town, Hokkaido), Hokkaido's most spectacular scenery, is No. 1.

No. 1] Hokuryu Town Sunflower Village (Hokuryu Town, Hokkaido)
The sunflower field most desired to visit in the summer of 2022 is "Hokuryu-cho Himawari no Sato" (255 votes). The Hokuryu-cho Sunflower Field is one of the largest sunflower fields in Japan, with 2 million sunflowers blooming in a vast field of approximately 23 hectares.
Reasons for choosing it as No. 1 included "The scale (compared to other sunflower fields) is incomparable" and "I want to see one of the largest sunflower fields in Japan," encouraged by the fact that many people want to experience the spectacular, spectacular scenery that can only be seen in summer.
Hokkaido's relatively cool and pleasant summer temperatures are the reason why many people want to go out in Hokkaido (see [Reference] Reference 3), which is also thought to be the reason for the No. 1 ranking.

The sunflower field received 30 votes from Kanto residents and 44 votes from Koshinetsu residents (see 【Reference Material】 Reference 2). Many respondents said "because it is easy to visit with the family" and "because it is a fun day trip," indicating that it is a popular destination for a short family outing.

No.3] Nakayama Himawari Danchi (Nakatado-gun, Kagawa Prefecture)
In third place is Nakayama Himawari Danchi (96 votes). This sunflower field is a place where over 310,000 sunflowers bloom with a view of the Asan mountains. Reasons given for the third place ranking included, "I want to visit there because I live nearby and didn't know about it.
2. If you were to visit a sunflower field in the summer of 2022, the most common result was that people would like to enjoy the spectacular summer scenery with their families.
In conjunction with the ranking, we also surveyed attitudes toward sunflower fields. First, when asked who they would like to visit the sunflower fields with if they were to go in the summer of 2022, family (623 votes) came in first.
As for reasons, many respondents answered that they wanted to enjoy the sunflower fields with their families because "children will be happy" or "I want to show them to my children," indicating that many people want to enjoy sunflower fields, a summer tradition that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Another reason for the No. 1 ranking may be that people who want to go out with their families for the first time in a while can also enjoy themselves, such as "because there is Corona, and I haven't been able to go out with my family in a long time.

Next, when asked what they would like to do if they were to visit a sunflower field in the summer of 2022, photography came in first with 430 votes. It became clear that many people would like to take pictures of the spectacular view of many sunflowers in full bloom against the blue summer sky.
