On Thursday, April 28, from 8:00 a.m., the Hokuryu-cho Yawara Neighborhood Association Senior Citizens Club (Chairman: Nobuyuki Kanayama) held a "Roadside Trash Cleanup" (garbage pickup).
On the day of the event, about 20 members participated in the event despite the strong winds that blew so hard in the morning that they felt as if they were going to be blown away by the wind. About 20 members participated in the event, picking up trash along the roads and streets in the Wa Neighborhood Association area to help beautify the environment.
Along Road No. 94 (Masumo Inada Line)
Each participant brought his or her own trash bag and collected trash, cans, wood chips, etc. that had fallen along the banks and irrigation ditches. The round trip took about one hour along a 2-km one-way road, and the back of the light truck was filled with trash bags.
