The 1st Hokuryu Kendama Club Hekisui Police Station Cup was held at the Hokuryu Town Community Center Large Hall on Monday, March 20, 2023. A total of 50 people, including 26 children and their families, including club members, attended.

On Monday, March 20, 2023, the Nikkei Business Online published an interview article (dated March 16th) with Hamatonbetsu Mayor Naotoshi Minami, a native of Hokuryu Town.
