The Hokuryu Town Portal has been run by a husband and wife team for 15 years. It is a website that conveys the excitement of the "spirit of harmony" and "compassion" that permeates Hokuryu Town.

June 21, 2025 (Saturday) June 11, 2025 (Wednesday) HBC's "Agri Kingdom Hokkaido NEXT" will be covering the Hokuryu Town sunflower watermelon. On Friday, June 20, 2025, a celebration was held for former Hokuryu Town Council Chairman Moriaki Tanaka (88 years old) who was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays. He was recognized for his many years of contributions to local government, youth group activities, and efforts in regional development, and received congratulatory gifts from the representative of the organizers and the mayor.
