Sunflowers of the World Guide by students of Hokuryu Junior High School
Students will sincerely introduce the charm of "Sunflowers of the World Praying for Peace" at the Sunflowers of the World Corner.

Guided 6th grade students of Mayu Elementary School
On this day, sixth grade students from Manryu Elementary School participated in the World Sunflower Guide.
We learned about sunflowers around the world by listening to explanations from a junior high school senior.
3rd to 5th graders of Mayu Elementary School go around the village
3rd to 5th graders of Manryu Elementary School made a round trip to Sunflower Village for a tour.
Cultivated mainly by the Sunflower Committee of Hokuryu Junior High School
All 35 students of Hokuryu Junior High School (Principal: Makoto Sakai) cultivated, managed and carefully nurtured 24 varieties of "Sunflowers of the World".
At Hokuryu Junior High School, a "Sunflower Committee" has been organized, and during the class "Integrated Learning Time," all students are seriously engaged in growing sunflowers, from sowing, weeding, volunteer guiding, and cleaning up afterwards.
In this "Sunflower Guide of the World," all 35 students work in pairs to explain the name, origin, height, and characteristics of sunflowers to visitors in a detailed and easy-to-understand manner, and to answer a variety of questions.

- Guide:A sunflower with about 10 flowers on each stem.
Elementary school students:You sure have a lot of buds on you. I'm sure there will be lots of blooms soon. - Guide:The brownish-brown petals of this sunflower remind one of the earth.
Elementary school students:It's true. It's the color of brown earth! - Guide:A sunflower small enough to decorate a table.

Guide:These seeds were ordered from the farmer's cooperative. - Tourist:You don't collect the seeds from the blooms and plant them.
Guide:Every year, new seeds are sown.

After receiving a full explanation from the guide, guests are asked to write their impressions in a tent set up for the tour. Cold water will be provided, and after filling in their impressions, they will be given their choice of seeds of their favorite flower from among 24 types of sunflower seeds from around the world!
