The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital, an Internet site operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun (Sapporo City), has posted an article titled "Dry Spring: Beware of Fires, Fukagawa Fire Department and Others Take to the Streets (April 20).

The article states, "According to the association, one city and four towns under its jurisdiction (Fukagawa, Imoseguro, Chichibubetsu,northern dragon (an auspicious creature in Chinese mythology)(Numata) had nine fires in 2023, two fewer than the previous year and the fewest since the union's inception in 1972," the report stated.
