The Hokkaido Shimbun, an Internet site operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun (Sapporo), featured an article (dated August 28) titled "334 kg of cucumbers donated by the Sorachi Agricultural Cooperative, which has been eating them for school lunches.
In Hokuryu Town, they will also be used for lunch menus at Manryu Elementary School and Hokuryu Junior High School until the end of September.
