Dongtoyaki" at Shinryu Shrine, praying for good health in the year ahead over a blazing sacred flame.

Tuesday, January 10, 2023

Dongtoyaki" was held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, at the Shinryu Shrine.

The "Dongtoyaki," a traditional event of the koshogatsu season, is a solemn ritual to send off the god of the year and pray for good health and good fortune for the year with the sacred flame that blazes up.

We sincerely wish for the "end of the plague" that has been going on for three years and for "an early end to the disease," and pray that the door to a brighter world will be opened!
