Thursday, July 17, 2025 On Saturday, July 12, a grand celebration was held at Sunflower Park Hokuryu Onsen to celebrate the former Hokuryu Town Mayor Yutaka Sano receiving the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays. In recognition of his many years of contributions to local government, 118 people attended the celebration.
