本大会も、皆様方の温かいご支援とご協力により６１回目を迎えることができました。
We are pleased to invite you to attend this year's event, which will be held as follows.

61st Hokusho Road Race 2025 Event Guidelines

The tournament will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled at the organizer's discretion due to earthquakes, windstorms, floods, incidents, accidents, etc. Please refer to the attached Notes section for details on how to respond in such cases.

Please read the terms and conditions of this document and the attached pledges and precautions carefully.

• 10kmGeneral Category: Men's and Women's (high school students and above)
• 　5kmGeneral Category: Men's and Women's (high school students and above)
  　　　　Junior high school boys and girls (parental consent required)
• 　3kmMen's and Women's division (junior high school students and above)
  　　　　Elementary school boys and girls, no grade limit (parental consent required)
• 　２km 親子ペア（両親及び祖父母）
  　　　　Children under 3rd grade of elementary school
  　　　　Pair participants must finish the race hand in hand.

※ 申込後に参加種目を変更したい方は、「１０．申込期間」の期間内に「１３．問合せ先」までご連絡ください。
Please note that applications cannot be accepted after the application period.

７. 参加料・募集人数

• General male/female (high school students and above)3,500 yen
• ２kmペア組・・・・・・4,000 yen
• Elementary and junior high school students ・・・・・・1,500 yen

  ※ 「２kmペア」以外、全種目の合計定員は約３００名を予定しており、定員となり次第、参加募集を締め切ります
  The participation fee will not be refunded in the event of cancellation or non-participation after application (except for applications due to capacity limitations).

8. time limit 2 hours 00 minutes (from the starting gun)

Competitors who have exceeded the time limit may be ordered to stop the race midway through the race. In such cases, please follow the instructions of the race officials and get back into your car.

9. How to apply

Entry fee will be charged in addition to the entry fee.



Application period

• 令和７年６月２日（月）から令和７年７月２日（水）まで

Applications will not be accepted outside of the above application period.
After the application period, an acceptance slip will be mailed to all participants.

11. commendation

• Up to 4th place in each category (extra prize: 5kg-10kg of Hokuryu rice, etc.)
• Awards up to 3rd place in elementary and junior high school divisions

12. participation prizes

• 記念Tシャツを贈呈
• Elementary and junior high school students (regardless of event), elementary school students in parent-child pairs will receive book coupons
• certificate of completion (of a race, etc.)

Enclosed with your bib.
The "Record List" will be posted after the competition.

About Automatic Measurement

• Measurements are taken using a measuring tip. Chip must be fastened to shoelaces.
• Parents must wear a chip in the parent-child pairs category
• Chip collection boxes will be placed near the finish line and near the record board. Please be sure to put them in the collection box after finishing the race. If chips are lost or not returned, the participants will be charged 1,000 yen for the actual cost of the chip.

Convention Pledges

I hereby pledge to strictly abide by the following rules and regulations in participating in this tournament.

1. I will follow the rules and instructions set forth by the tournament organizers.
2. Any accident caused by my responsibility will be handled at my own risk (by parents/guardians for high school students and younger)
3. The organizer reserves the right to publish, use, and portrait rights to any images, photographs, articles, records, etc. on TV, newspapers, magazines, the Internet, etc. during the competition.
4. No refund of entry fee will be requested after application.

Tournament Notes

1. Please fill out all the necessary information when applying.
2. If the organizer decides to cancel the event due to an earthquake, windstorm, flood, accident, etc., participation prizes will be handed out at the venue during the registration time. (Participation prizes will be mailed to those applicants who were unable to participate on the day of the event.
3. Participants are requested to take care of their own health and enjoy the event without overexerting themselves. If you are injured or become ill during the race, please stop the race and ask the nearest auditor or water officer for help.
4. Please refrain from using the parking lots at the convention site for purposes other than parking.
5. The organizers will do their utmost to prevent accidents during the race, but we ask that participants and supporters also obey the traffic rules and cooperate to avoid accidents.
   Please drive with caution as it is during the Sunflower Festival and tourists may cross the road.
6. Accompanying runners must be approved by the event organizers, such as for those with physical or mental disabilities.
7. Please do not engage in any conduct that is offensive to public order and morals.
