The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital, an Internet site operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun (Sapporo, Japan), has published an article (dated October 22) titled "Consolidation and Elimination of Polling Stations in Hokkaido: 62 Fewer Since Last House of Representatives Election, Six Towns Have Only One Polling Station.

The article states, "Six towns have only one polling place in their municipality: Sorachi, Chichibubetsu, and Ameryu in the Sorachi region,northern dragon (an auspicious creature in Chinese mythology)It is listed as "five towns in Numata and the town of Enbetsu in the Rumoi District.
