Schools and communities collaborate and interact as community schools
This soba-making experience is a class that aims to promote cooperation and exchange between the school and the community as part of the community school (school management council system) initiative.
With the cooperation of the Hokuryu Town Board of Education and the cooperation and guidance of the Soba Shokuraku Club Hokuryu (President: Naokazu Nakamura), five fifth graders from Manryu Elementary School and their five parents participated in the event.
Cooperation and guidance from the members of the Soba Gourmet Club Hokuryu
Each student was guided by one member of the Soba Shokubu Hokuryu, who carefully explained the process in detail and in an easy-to-understand manner.
Once the instructor sets the example, the students quickly learn and practice by imitating the same!
Some of the participants were students with experience in soba making, and the process went surprisingly smoothly and skillfully.
