This year, radio calisthenics, in which participants inhaled the fresh morning air with all their might, were held for 88 days (27 days in 2 months) from Monday, June 12 to Friday, September 8.
This year, 68 registered participants gathered at the plaza in front of the Hokuryu-cho Community Center at 6:30 a.m. every morning to exercise their bodies vigorously in the radio calisthenics program organized by the Hokuryu-cho Board of Education.
Under the blue sky, cheerfully!
Greetings from Mr. Kunimitsu Abe, Board of Education:
We were able to successfully complete this year's radio calisthenics event with the participation of many people.
Ten administrative points will be awarded per day for participating in radio calisthenics. After tallying the points, we will mail you an exchange ticket for the total points at a later date. Please redeem your points at the Town Hall, Industry Division, Residents Division, and Himawari University.
Elementary school students will receive candy exchange coupons through the school for 3 or more points. If you have brought home a radio calisthenics card, please submit it to the Board of Education at a later date.
We will be giving away prizes (tissues and drinks) to those who came today. Thank you for coming to this year's Refreshing Radio Exercise!"
Tissues & drinks will be distributed after the event.
Many children participated! (At least 3 points will be awarded for a voucher for candy)
Breathing in the sparkling sun, blue sky, and sacred air of the town's forest, we do morning radio calisthenics, exercising our entire body in a balanced manner, with boundless love, gratitude, and prayer.
