Mr. Kazuo Kimura was the 13th speaker of the first part! He appeared with a bouquet of sunflowers on his chest, presented by Mr. Yasuhiro Sasaki (Chairman of the Hokuryu Town Council).

The song "Sasareka Jinsei" (It's a Life) was sung with a soul-stirring voice in a high and passionate rendition of Japanese enka, a traditional Japanese folk song full of melancholy.
