On Wednesday, February 15, "Ichiban Shibori Sunflower Oil" produced in Hokuryu Town (Hokuryu Promotion Public Corporation) was selected as one of the "High Grade Foods of the North 2023," which selects top runners of food products produced in Hokkaido. Mayor Yutaka Sano of Hokuryu Town was on hand to receive the award.
This year, 22 products were selected from all provinces, bringing the total number of selected products in the "High Grade Foods of the North" program, which began in 2011, to more than 200.
