Shigeki Mizutani, Representative Director

Shigeki Mizutani, president of the agricultural cooperative Honoka,

This year," he said, "there has been very little snow, but the farming season has been much the same as in previous years.

However, I am concerned that this year we may see a decrease in demand for rice and melons due to the "new coronavirus". We are concerned about lower melon prices and lower crop sales prices due to a decrease in tourism.

We will do our utmost to prevent the "new coronavirus" while paying the utmost attention to the prevention of the virus," said Representative Director Mizutani.

We are grateful for the great power of the farmers who nurture life.

In April, paddy rice seeding, melon planting, soybean and green bean seeding, and sunflower seeding will start in May.
With boundless love, gratitude, and prayers for the great agriculture that is overcoming viruses with the life-giving and powerful power of farmers.
