The Hokuryu Marche, featuring handmade items, was held at the Hokuryu Town Commercial Revitalization Facility Cocowa Multipurpose Hall from 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, September 4th.
This wonderful market brings together handmade creators from both inside and outside Hokuryu. There's a wide selection of lovely and cute items that will warm your heart and make you feel cheerful and energetic!!!

A mother from Hokuryu Town who runs a patchwork circle (held once a month at the community center) held a workshop on the day to make apple coasters and round drawstring bags.
"I'm glad everyone enjoyed the experience. Some customers said they would like to join the patchwork circle, which made me happy," she said with a smile!!!

- This work was created by a couple from Osaka City who live in Hokuryu Town, where the husband is a farmer.
- The accessories made by this couple, who have traveled the world, are a wonderful collection of works, including "natural stone macrame accessories" that they learned in India and Thailand, and earrings made using the unique lace weaving technique "Ñanduti" that they learned in Paraguay.

- The shop processes natural materials from Hokuryu Town into miscellaneous goods, including rice straw brooms, trivets, dolls, ornaments and brooches made from birch bark, straw stars made from wheat straw, and dried flowers arranged with flowers from local flower farmers.

- Bath bomb (bath additive) making experience conducted by mothers living in Hokuryu Town
- Mix baking soda, citric acid, and salt in a 2:1:2 ratio, spray with water using a spray bottle, and mix. Press down and leave to dry for a few minutes.
"It may look easy, but the degree of hardening will vary depending on the humidity, temperature and amount of water. It was a process of trial and error until I succeeded. It was really hard work. I was glad that local children came today and enjoyed themselves," he said.
