NHK's website, "Memories of Fujimaru: Scarves from Half a Century Ago," features an interview with Mie Kiritani, 86, a native of Hokuryu Town.

Fujimaru, the only department store in East Hokkaido, has been in business for 1900 years. With declining sales and the new Corona following suit, it is scheduled to close at the end of January next year, 2023. Mr. Kiriya shares his memories of Fujimaru.
