The 37th Hokuryu Town Snow Festa Yukinko Festival was held behind the Hokuryu Town Rural Environment Improvement Center from 1:00 PM on Friday, February 23rd. Over 100 townspeople, including kindergarteners, elementary school students, energetic children from the town, and families, gathered to enjoy playing in the winter snow to their heart's content.

The morning was a clear blue sky!
Gradually, in the afternoon, the weather became ominous as snow clouds began to approach the western sky.
The soft, fluffy snow that fell somehow managed to hold off until the end of the festival without turning into a blizzard.
Smiling faces for both children and adults!
The Yukinko Festival is full of fun events, such as a treasure hunt where you run around the snowy fields, a Snow Flag game where you try to get the flag first, and a snowmobile experience where you ride a banana board!
The voices of children running around on the fluffy snow, shouting "Fight!", "Do your best!" and "It's so fun!" echo throughout the area!
Inside the venue, there is a huge snow mountain slide where you can slide down on snow tubes!!! A long line of people waiting their turn stretches all the way to the top of the slide.
Crepe food truck "La Pont Neige"
This year, the fun crepe food truck "La Pont Neige" will be visiting the community center parking lot!!!
Sweets gift
At the end of the event, all the participating children were given a wonderful gift of sweets!!!

"Hello, thank you for joining us at the Yukinko Festival today!
"Today, we will play two games, the 'Treasure Hunt Game' and the 'Snow Flag', followed by a snowmobile experience. Everyone, please enjoy yourself without getting hurt, and at the end, please receive lots of sweets! Thank you for your cooperation today," he said.

Be the first to catch the plastic balls containing number cards scattered across the pure white snowfield!
Snow Flag
At the start, participants lie face down facing in the opposite direction, get up when the go signal is given, and the first one to reach the flag wins.
Snowmobile experience
Snowmobiles operated by members of HMK (Hekisui Mobile Association) pull banana boards carrying children as they race across the snowy fields!
Snow tubing on the snowy mountain
The popular snow mountain slide where you can slide down on snow tubes has a long queue!
The snow mountain was created using large construction machinery.
Enjoying the snow will warm your body and mind to the point that you won't even notice the coldness of the snow!
Children's smiles and happy cheers echoed across the snowy fields, and the whole family enjoyed themselves to the fullest at this wonderful Snow Festival. We send our boundless love, gratitude, and prayers to them...
